The presentation of the writer Konqr’s fifth video and the book about his adventures took place on October 19 at El Montana Café Restaurant. The event brought together many writers from the city of Barcelona -a fairly young age group overall- plus others that traveled from other cities who didn’t want to miss the occasion.
We had to take advantage of the visit from this controversial writer, so we have attempted to submit him to a quick interview in addition to our “Cifras y letras”. As you will see, it was a resounding failure since Konqr is more about painting than expressing himself. Nevertheless, something can be gleaned from his brief testimony.

What writer or writers inspired you to dedicate yourself to this type of graffiti?
My good friend John 2Buck made a huge impact on my painting. When he died, I felt like my only option was to continue on the same path we were on- pushing to reach my full potential. If I stopped it felt like all our efforts up to that point were done in vain.
Who do you think has more systems than you?
I am sure someone does.
What is the most difficult system you have painted?
Medellin, Columbia.
“You can learn more about my experience in my book.”
What mission do you remember most funnily/fondly?
Hard to choose. There are so many, but you can read about some of the stories in my book.
Tell us about your electrocution accident. What happens when something like this happens?
Electricity and humans don’t mix so well. You can learn more about my experience in my book.
And your arrest in Korea… Can you explain the craziest situation you experienced?
I can’t begin to describe this without going into lengthy details. It is written in my book.
Your impressions regarding the presentation of the TTK5 in El Montana.
I am grateful for everything that the MTN team did to make the event a success. Thank you for everything. I appreciated the large turnout and was happy everyone could enjoy the video and book release.
